Penn State Football: Sean Clifford’s younger brother receives an offer
The Penn State football program is looking forward to potentially having Sean Clifford’s younger brother, Liam in the picture soon.
The past weekend has been a busy one for the Penn State Football program. As they hosted and worked out many recruits in such a short period of time, they can feel very accomplished after giving out a handful of offers in addition to receiving a commitment as well.
While all of the offers that were put out were all equally as productive, one, in particular, did happen to stand out from the others in a way. Not because this kid was better than everybody or anything. It was mainly because his brother just so happens to already be on the team.
Liam Clifford, the younger brother of Penn State quarterback Sean Clifford, has officially received an offer from the Nittany Lions. On Sunday, the news came out about the intense workout that ended with Clifford receiving the offer, and all parties involved were thrilled. That includes Liam’s older brother, Sean who is excited to play with his brother once again soon potentially.

Liam Clifford, like his brother, attended St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. Unlike his brother though, Liam plays the wide receiver position, rather than quarterback. The six-foot-two-inch rising star began visiting Penn State back in the fall of 2017. Since then, he has been able to keep in contact with the school as they kept a close eye on him.
Although Clifford is listed as an athlete according to 247 Sports, it seems like his main goal for the NCAA is to become a wideout. With Penn State getting him involved with running routes, that’s precisely where they intend on putting him if he does decide to commit to Happy Valley.
Right now, Clifford has interest in his local University, Cincinnati, as well as Duke, Michigan, and Pittsburgh. Considering the fact that Clifford’s older brother is already locked into the program as a passer, that could give the Nittany Lions an upper-hand in the fight for the class of 2021 receiver. However, there is still plenty of time left in his recruiting process. No matter what happens, though, Liam’s older brother cannot stress enough how proud he is of him.
