Saturday’s game will be a coronation for the winningest quarterback in Penn State football history in Trace McSorley. Penn State’s offense was productive and efficient against Wisconsin. It didn’t have the same points to show for it, but it will against Rutgers. Unfortunately for the Scarlet Knights, they happened to run into a team that knows it needs to win out to have a hope of a respectable season.

PSU just got done shutting down a top-flight Wisconsin run game and will no doubt do the same to a lesser offense in Rutgers. I expect the Penn State defense to hold Rutgers to 10 points or less and force a bevy of turnovers like it did to multiple recent opponents.

Offensively, Miles Sanders will pound the ball up the middle and take the pressure off a still-hobbled McSorley, but I expect him to have a great game. He’ll stay away from the turnovers, as he’s done much of the season and continue to break records for the Nittany Lions.
