Overall Outlook

This is a team that I could very well see having 20 wins at the end of the regular season, with 10 Big Ten wins and a six or seven seed going into the Big Ten Tournament. Most years, a 6 or 7 seed in the Big Ten Tournament is more than enough to make the NCAA Tournament, but it will fully depend on how the rest of the conference looks.

Penn State will win a couple of games into the Big Ten Tournament to make them a solid 8 or 9 seed in the NCAA Tournament. The Nittany Lions have a great opportunity at their fingertips to be a surprise team this season. While the national expectations for Penn State basketball are low, mine are the highest they’ve ever been going into a season.
