Penn State Football: Position grades versus Iowa

Linebackers

The linebackers deserve a ton of credit for the incredible rushing defense as well. As stated previous, allowing only 135 yards on 38 rushing attempts is phenomenal.

True freshman Micah Parsons had seven tackles and a QB hurry, and continued to show his potential. Cam Brown had six tackles and a QB hurry, Koa Farmer had five tackles.

Redshirt freshman Ellis Brooks also had a solid day, with three tackles and one tackle for loss. Jan Johnson had four tackles, but was on the coverage during the Iowa punter’s passing touchdown.

Overall, the defense played incredible, and it all started with the defensive line and linebackers.
