Offensive Line

The offensive line was once again average in this game. They only allowed Michigan State to have one sack, two tackles for loss, and one QB hurry. In addition, Miles Sanders did have a huge game.

However, by the eye test, there were plenty of times that Miles Sanders or Trace McSorley got stuffed after a few yards. There weren’t the normal holes developing for McSorley (13 carries, 37 yards), and one play that stuck out to me as bad by the offensive line was the last play. Trace McSorley was getting chased by two or three defenders and couldn’t even get the throw off to the end zone. There was little to no protection on the play.

In my opinion, there’s no doubt that the offensive line has improved from last season, but they can still get a lot better.
