Arguably the best wide receiver in the history of the Penn State football program, Bobby Engram made defenses look silly during his time at Happy Valley. Engram played his high school ball at Camden (SC) High School, choosing the Nittany Lions over a bunch of big-time programs. He would not disappoint on the field, even if he did miss the entire 1992 season due to an infraction off of it.

Engram was a three-time All-Big Ten selection. When he was all done with his college career, he was Penn State’s all-time leader in receiving yards (3,026), a title he still holds. He was the favorite target of quarterback Kerry Collins during the 1994 undefeated season, and capped off his career with an MVP performance in the Citrus Bowl.

A three-time Associated Press All-American, Engram was the kind of change of pace player the Nittany Lions needed, as they also had workhorse Ki-Jana Carter in the backfield. A second round draft choice in the 1996 NFL Draft, Engram is still the Penn State all-time leader in receiving touchdowns with 31. He was the first player in college football history to win the Fred Biletnikoff Award, which is given to the best receiver in college football.

Engram is currently a wide receiver coach for the Baltimore Ravens, but for Penn State fans, he will always be No. 10, who terrorized Big Ten defenses whenever he was on the field. That 1994 team was one of the best in history, and for good reason, as they had the best quarterback-wide receiver tandem this university has ever seen.
