A native of Whitehall (PA) Township, Matt Millen seemed destined to play his college ball at Penn State. By the time his college career was finished, he had become one of the more decorated defensive tackles in program history, as he cemented his place as an all-time great wearing the blue and white.

Millen was an All-American during his time at Penn State, in one of the more impressive seasons we have seen from an interior lineman at the school. In that season, Millen racked up nine sacks, which made up nearly half of his career total, as he finished his career with 22. In addition, the big fella wrapped up his Penn State career with 36 tackles for a loss.

A second-round pick of the Raiders, Millen played for four teams during his NFL career, winning a Super Bowl with each franchise. When his playing career was over, he moved into the front office, where he ran the Detroit Lions during one of the worst stretches in the history of the franchise. Turns out, Millen was a superior football player than he was as a football executive.

Millen is dealing with some serious health issues, as he was recently diagnosed with a rare heart condition. However, being the true warrior that he is, he is still working. Miller is still covering the Big Ten as an analyst and has said that he plans to do so until he can do it no longer.
