Linebackers

The linebackers were almost as good as the defensive line in this game, as they aided them in only allowing 41 rushing yards to the Golden Flashes.

Another great thing from this linebacker crew this weekend was that they didn’t allow Kent State mobile-quarterback Woody Barrett to do anything on the ground as he had -18 yards on 16 attempts.

Cam Brown led the team in total tackles with seven, two of them going for a loss, while Micah Parsons finished tied second on the team in tackles with five, a half a tackle going for a loss.

Freshman Jesse Luketa also got in on the efforts, recording three tackles, while Jan Johnson and Ellis Brooks had two.

It was a very solid performance by the new crop of “Linebacker U” members.
