A second-half shutout and satisfying domination over a rival got Penn State football back on track. The defense forced some key turnovers, made adjustments and held the Panthers scoreless.

Offensively, Penn State was up-and-down, but McSorley avoided major mistakes and accounted for three more touchdowns. Expect him to play a key role yet again in keeping the team in the driver’s seat. Through two games, he has six total touchdowns and zero turnovers. When an offense has that kind of efficiency, it should expect to win games.

Kent State comes in at 1-1 and is another MAC opponent that Penn State has seen in recent years. Although they’ll give Penn State challenges like each week does, there’s no reason the Nittany Lions should struggle.

After seeing a quality App State team in week one and rival Pitt in week two. This game should be an easier, winnable game. I expect PSU to reach 40-plus again in a big-time win over the Golden Flashes.
