Penn State Football: Position Grades at Pitt
By Dylan Burd
Offensive Line
There isn’t much to say about the offensive line, and that’s a very good thing. This unit did a 180 from week one, and played an extremely solid game. Trace McSorley was only sacked one time in this game, and only hurried once.
In addition, Miles Sanders averaging 7.4 yards per carry has a lot to do with the guys up front. They did an incredible job blocking for him.
If there was one issue with the offensive line in this game, it was that Pitt did have nine tackles for loss.
However, several of those plays were short screens or plays to the outside that weren’t the offensive line’s fault. Overall, the offensive line really rebounded from week one, and that was great to see.
