Saturday, April 21 marks one of the highlights of Penn State’s offseason schedule — the annual Blue-White Game. Of course, it’s a chance for the team to get on the field and take part in some simulated game action. Aside from getting to watch some football in April, it’s also a chance to break out of winter’s chill (although it’s still holding on this year) and bust out the tailgate grills and lawn games.

The game is the big draw of the day, but there are plenty of other activities to observe and take part in. Plan on arriving early and spending a day having some great family fun.

Running from 9 a.m.-11 a.m., the Blue-White Gamily Fun Zone over in Holuba Hall has been an exciting draw the past few years. Games for kids run by Penn State athletes, live entertainment, giveaways and interactive games are some of the activities that will be available at not cost.

New for this year, Penn State great LaVar Arrington will be bringing his eight grade all-star game. The game, featuring some of the best young football players, will take place at 10 a.m. in Beaver Stadium and will be free to the public.

Penn State Football Fan Fest will go from 11a.m. – 1 p.m. on Curtain Road. A favorite of normal Saturday game days is the team arrival. That will happen on Saturday at 11:45 a.m. at the traditional spot — the corner of Porter and Curtain Roads.

Following all of those activities, the ever-popular autograph session will take place on the field inside of Beaver Stadium. Fans will be able to get autographs from the Nittany Lions betwee12:15 and 1:05 p.m. Team posters will be available at the stadium gates for as long as supplies last.

Fans will be permitted to have one item signed per player. Players will not be available for pictures.

Players will be grouped by position at different gates around the stadium. The breakdown fo the gates is outlined below:

Gate A – Quarterbacks/Specialists

Gate B – Running Backs/Defensive Line

Gate C – Offensive Line/Wide Receivers

Gate E – Tight Ends/Defensive Backs

Gate F – Linebackers

The stadium will officially open at 1:30 p.m. for the game, which will kick off at 3 p.m.

Parking lots for the day will open at 8 a.m. All season ticket holders were sent a parking pass for the Blue-White Game with their 2017 season tickets. Parking can either be purchased before arriving, or be paid for upon entering the lot.

The Blue-White Game will be the culmination of Penn State’s spring practice session for the 2018 season.
