Purdue vs Arizona

Purdue will be the second team to represent the Big Ten in bowl season. The Boilermakers drew an interesting matchup with the Arizona Wildcats. Purdue will be making its first bowl appearance sine the 2013 Heart of Dallas Bowl.
The Boilermakers made some waves early in the season and looked like they could be a surprise in the conference. However, a mid-season slide in which they lost three of four games made the final game against Indiana necessary for a bowl berth.
Purdue will rely on its passing attack and defense to make things tough on Arizona.
Arizona dropped three of its final four games, but still finished the regular season with a record of 7-5. The Wildcats enter with a very potent offense, particularly on the ground. Arizona is ranked third in the nation with 324 rushing yards per game.
Standout dual-threat quarterback Khalil Tate led the team with 1,289 passing yards, 1,353 rushing yards, and 21 total touchdow. The Wildcats, who averaged 42 points a game will look to put up big numbers against the Boilers.
