Arizona State offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Billy Napier

Billy Napier is the final addition to this list. Originally, he was not a name I was going to consider. So why did that change? Well, Twitter of course!

In the past 24 hours James Franklin, Charles Huff, and Sean Spencer have all followed Napier on Twitter. So have Penn State commits/players Zack Kuntz, Miles Sanders, and Tommy Stevens, among others.

You know what they say, where there’s smoke there is often times fire.

So, who is Billy Napier? Well, he is the 38-year-old offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach of the Arizona State Sun Devils.

Prior to joining the Sun Devil staff this season, he spent the previous five seasons on Nick Saban’s staff at Alabama coaching wide receivers. Before that, he spent two seasons as Dabo Swinney’s offensive coordinator at Clemson. So, Napier has already worked with some of the best coaches in the country.

Billy Napier is also an elite recruiter. Adding someone who is as good a recruiter as Napier is to the staff never hurts. Additionally, he would also fill the void left at quarterback coach from Moorhead leaving.

It is also possible that the Nittany Lions could add Napier as solely the quarterbacks coach while promoting Ricky Rahne to offensive coordinator. After all, Arizona State head coach Tood Graham was just fired which, seemingly, will leave Napier without a job.

Billy Napier has certainly become a name worth keeping an eye on.
