Linebackers

Jason Cabinda and Brandon Smith didn’t have one of those stat-packing games, but they didn’t have to. Maryland threw the ball 36 times and tried to get the ball out and away from an aggressive front seven.

Smith did lead the team in tackles with five and finished as the second leading tackler for Penn State football. Jason Cabinda came in second with four tackles and a sack and Cam Brown recorded four as well.

Similar to the D-Line the linebackers made an impact away from the stat sheet. They got to quarterback and plugged holes, freeing up other players to make plays. For instance, Koa Farmer had just one tackle, but he made his presence known along with the other three linebackers.
