After Saturday, Penn State football will have its first back-to-back double-digit win seasons for first time since 2008-2009. Maryland doesn’t have a whole lot of hope in this one. Although the Terrapins started with a lot of promise, injuries at the quarterback position have derailed the season. The third and fourth string QBs have seen most of the action this season.

Max Bortenschlager has gone above and beyond the call of duty for a third stringer, but it his efforts weren’t enough. Penn State’s defense should feast on a depleted offense especially with its dynamic, deep pass rush.

Defensively, the Terps give up more than 400 yards per game and 34.5 points against. Saquon Barkley and Trace McSorley will take advantage of that. The entire offense got in on the party last week and is flying high. It wouldn’t surprise me if they racked up at least 500 yards in a shellacking of Maryland.

With the win, this team is in a great situation to play in another big-time bowl game for the second straight season.
