Penn State versus Maryland: Predictions

Penn State needs a win this week to secure another 10-win regular season. Although conference road games haven’t been that kind to the Nittany Lions this year, this one should be. Maryland had its season go downhill quickly and has not recovered.

I’m expecting a huge day from the Penn State offense, particularly on the ground. Maryland got gashed by Michigan State’s LJ Scott last week, so Saquon Barkley has an excellent opportunity to put up one more set of impressive numbers before the vote for the Heisman Trophy is finalized.

The Nittany Lions put up over 600 yards on Nebraska last week in terrible weather, so this week should be more of the same.

Maryland’s offense doesn’t scare anyone, so the Penn State defense is again in line for another solid performance.e

This one won’t be close, not even at the beginning. The Terps will have a chance at points in the second half when Penn State inserts its reserves, but it won’t be enough to close the gap on the scoreboard. Penn State wins this one going away.
