Offensive Line

I feel bad for having to rank this group. It’s not like they aren’t trying. They just aren’t getting the push they need to help the run game out. Barkley is Barry Sanders-esque, but he needs at least some help. He’s got unreal talent and shiftiness. However, he’s continuously getting let down by this O-Line.

In the last three week’s the offensive line has only given Barkley 142 yards on 49 carries – that’s pitiful. Part of the blame is placed solely on the defense for focusing so hard on the Heisman Trophy candidate, but the O-Line hasn’t helped.

It’s easy for any fan to see that the team gets little violent push and instead fights for stalemates at certain spots. Barkley’s burst and acceleration broke him free a few times, but it wasn’t enough.
