Week 11 of high school football season is in the books. So, here is VBR’s weekly look at how Penn State football commits performed over the weekend.

Throughout the 2017 football season I will take a look at how Penn State football commits perform in their high school football games each week. Even though high school football season is starting to wind down across the country, there is still plenty to talk about after this past weekend.

We will start with this past weekend’s top performer – tight end Zack Kuntz.

Friday night was the final high school football game of Zack Kuntz’s career and he went out with a bang. In Camp Hill’s 46-20 victory over Trinity Kuntz had eight receptions for 303 yards and three touchdowns. He also had six tackles, a sack, and an interception on defense.

Kuntz’s performance helped the Lions finish their season at 4-6. Also, with his performance, he was nominated for the 4th Down Magazine Player of the Week. You can vote for Kuntz here.

Staying in the Commonwealth, Shaquon Anderson-Butts and the Harrisburg Cougars did battle with the Cumberland Valley Eagles and Charlie Katshir in the Mid-Penn League Championship Game. The Cougars got the best of the Eagles by a score of 56-14 to improve to 10-0 on the season.

Keaton Ellis remains out of action for the State High Little Lions who defeated Central Dauphin 31-10 to improve to 8-2 on the season and now prepare for a playoff matchup against Erie on Friday night.

To the east in New Jersey, five-star wide receiver Justin Shorter and the South Brunswick Vikings defeated Monroe Township 40-8 to finish the regular season with a 7-1 record. Shorter caught three passes for 22 yards, and he rushed for 20 yards and a touchdown.
