The old saying of, “Don’t let a team beat you twice,” applies this week. Penn State must get over its collapse against Ohio State and beat Michigan State to maintain its College Football Playoff chances.  Nothing negative toward the Spartans, but Penn State’s defense should have a bounce back week against a less threatening offense.

J.T. Barrett and Ohio State found some cracks in the Nittany Lions’ much-improved defense, but it’s just one game. This veteran unit led by Marcus Allen, Jason Cabinda and Manny Bowen will bounce back.

The offense needs a shot in the arm, and it’ll likely get it. Ohio State’s defensive front is on another level. Saquon Barkley can only be contained for so long. Trace McSorley and company have played efficiently since the Northwestern game, and this week won’t be any different. Expect a bounce back for the Lions with their backs against the wall.
