Penn State at Michigan State: Prediction roundtable
Can Penn State rebound and dominate Michigan State this week?
With a week to reflect and learn from the mistakes of last week, particularly at the end of the game, it’s time for Penn State to get back on the field and focus on the rest of the season. Up next is a Big Ten East division with Michigan State.
Like the Buckeyes last week, the Spartans will be looking to avenge a loss to Penn State last season. The Nittany Lions ended their regular season last year with a 45-12 thumping of Michigan State and punched their ticket to the Big Ten Championship.
This year’s game sees the Nittany Lions in the middle of a two-game road stretch that’s never easy. East Lansing hasn’t been fun for Penn State lately, as the Nittany Lions have lost twice in their last three trips there.
Fortunately, Penn State boasts a very talented roster on both sides of the ball. It’s easily the best team that James Franklin has field during his tenure in Happy Valley. Although the loss at Ohio State stung, there’s still a lot to play for this season. With a strong finish, as well as some losses from the teams in front of them, the Nittany Lions still have a shot at landing in the College Football Playoff at the end of the season.
Winning on the road in the Big Ten is never easy, but Penn State is a double-digit favorite over the Spartans and will look to dominate all aspects of the game.
