At the beginnng of the season I predicted that Penn State’s only loss this season would come versus Ohio State in Columbus.

This was a very fair prediction. Look at what Penn State is going up against. Road game, Ohio State is well rested after their bye week, James Franklin is 0-8 on the road vs. ranked opponents, Penn State is coming off a very physical game, the list goes on and on.

Two things have happened since I made that prediction.

One, Penn State has exceeded my wildest dreams on the defensive side of the ball. Two, Ohio State simply didn’t show up against Oklahoma which shows a lot about their character, and I think, their quarterback.

Yes, after getting off to a rocky start, J.T. Barrett has hit his stride. Albeit against weaker defenses, he has played his way into the Heisman conversation, but he hasn’t faced a defense like Penn State yet.

I think Penn States defense does enough to slow down Barrett and to hell with everything else, I like the Nittany Lions.
