Penn State Football Prediction Roundtable: Nittany Lions at Buckeyes
Can Penn State continue to roll and pull off an upset in Columbus?
Fresh off a convincing win over the Michigan Wolverines, Penn State heads into its toughest and perhaps most important game of the season. The Nittany Lions travel to Columbus to take on the No. 6 Ohio State Buckeyes. The Horseshoe will undoubtedly be rocking and full of screaming Buckeye fans.
Penn State is going to have to be on the top of its game. Luckily, the Nittany Lions have been firing on a cylinders in recent weeks and have a roster that’s loaded with talent.
Head coach James Franklin has done an excellent job during his tenure in Happy Valley of not letting the moment get too big. There’s no doubt that his Nittany Lions will enter Ohio Stadium focused on the task at hand.

A win over the Buckeyes, and all the outside distractions of things like the College Football Playoff rankings will take care of themselves.
The Nittany Lions find themselves underdogs this week for the first time all season. That’s likely due in large part to the home field advantage that Ohio State will have. Also, Ohio State has looked like a championship-caliber team over the last few weeks.
Of course, Ohio State’s competition hasn’t been the best lately, and the only real tough team the Buckeyes have faced — Oklahoma — beat them.
If Penn State hopes to keep its championship dreams alive, then a win over the Buckeyes is a must. Will it happen? Nobody knows for sure, but the VBR staff takes its weekly crack at predictions in the following slides.
