Offensive Line

Wow! this group deserves a lot of credit. After getting rocked in a few games this year, the bye week did wonders for this position group. It looked completely different and blocked out all the noise from the outside. The O-Line opened holes that five Saquon Barkleys could run through. Penn State football will compete for a national championship if this group plays at this same level.

The offense racked up more than 500 total yards of offense and embarrassed what was supposed to be a respectable defense. In fact, Michigan ranked out as one of the top defenses in the country. This O-Line made them look weak.

It pushed the Wolverines around and kept McSorley clean in the pocket. A problem against Northwestern was the line’s pass blocking. That clearly disappeared, because he had ample time to pick apart defenses and make reads.

This has taken a beating this year whether it’s been from writers or on the field, but I’ll give credit to them. This unit stepped up and responded well to its struggles.
