This year certainly has a different ring to it. Penn State is the highly ranked team. Michigan is the team sitting there with a loss already, and albeit, a conference loss. A loss this week could effectively end Michigan’s chance at the College Football Playoff, a berth in the Big Ten Championship, and ultimately the Rose Bowl.

The Nittany Lions should come out of the gate energized. Saturday will not only have College GameDay in State College, but also a Whiteout at Beaver Stadium. For those that have never experienced it, a Penn State Whiteout is one of the greatest atmospheres in all of sports. However, none of this guarantees a Penn State victory.

Ultimately, the Nittany Lion defense will be on the top of their game and completely shut down the Wolverine offense. Saquon Barkley will get back on track and run all over the Michigan defense. In the end, the game won’t even be close.

Penn State – 31
