Just when we tried to give Rutgers some props last week with their ability to stay with nationally-ranked Washington, they go and lay an egg against Eastern Michigan.  The Eagles scored their biggest win in quite some time.  In fact, it was Eastern Michigan’s first win over a Big Ten team in 39 contests and their first win over a Power-5 team in 59 overall games – Yikes!!

The Scarlet Knights did get a solid performance from wide receiver Janarion Grant who reeled in nearly half of quarterback Kyle Bolin’s 17 completions.  Grant pulled down eight receptions for 91 yards.

This week Rutgers gets a shot at getting that elusive first win as they host the MEAC’s Morgan State Bears.  If Rutgers can’t get it done this week, it might be a winless season in Piscataway.  Even still, Rutgers once again safely represents the bottom of our weekly power rankings.
