STATE COLLEGE, PA – SEPTEMBER 09: Saquon Barkley /

Penn State takes over the top spot this week with the loss by Ohio State.  The Nittany Lions did not play flawless football this past Saturday, but it was enough to post another 30-point offensive output as well as defeat rival Pittsburgh.

Saquon Barkley once again paced the Lions, ripping off 88 rushing yards and scoring a touchdown.  He also added 45 receiving yards and one score.  Mr. “Do-It-All” Barkley did enough to keep himself well-positioned in the Heisman Trophy discussion, and Penn State played well enough to grab the top spot in our rankings.

Next up for Penn State, the Lions host Georgia State under the lights at Beaver Stadium.  This is their last non-conference game before embarking on the Big Ten opener next week at Iowa – also under the lights.
