OK, quick quiz.  Who is the only Big Ten team to score at least 50 points in each of their first two games this season?  How many guessed Ohio State, or Penn State, or even Michigan?  All great and logical choices, but you’d be wrong.  Try, the Maryland Terrapins (Ok, so you guessed them because I’m asking the question in their segment)!

Maryland went deep in the heart of Texas and stunned the Longhorns by putting up 55 points in Austin.  This past week they shellacked the Towson Tigers by a 63-17 score.  I doubt the 50-point weekly barrage will remain indefinitely, but head coach DJ Durkin has instilled confidence in his players.

An interesting matchup with Central Florida awaits Maryland this week before opening Big Ten play with a trip to Minneapolis next week.

If Maryland puts up another 50-point outburst this week, they could be headed further north in our power rankings!
