No. 2 Penn State (Last Week – 2) —
The Nittany Lions did anything and everything they wanted last week against an overmatched Akron football team. As a result, Penn State has now moved in the top-4 of the latest college football rankings.
Big Ten co-offensive player of the week Saquon Barkley started his Heisman Trophy campaign by rushing for 172 yards and 2 touchdowns. Not to be outdone, quarterback Trace McSorley also had a rock-solid game.
This week Penn State returns to the friendly confines of Beaver Stadium when they welcome western Pennsylvania rival, Pittsburgh. Last season the Panthers prevailed 42-39, hanging on after a late McSorley interception. This year the Lions look for revenge and could get it in spades if they are able to continue their torrid play.
