Big Ten Power Rankings Week 2: Ohio State Still On Top But Penn State Closing Gap

No. 3 Michigan (Last Week – 3) —
In a battle of two top-25 teams, the Wolverines were able to outlast and outmatch the Florida Gators. The Gators did have at least 10 players suspended for the game due to violation of team rules, but Michigan’s defense was up to the task, especially in the second half.
Was the stingy nature of the Wolverine defense a product of Florida having so many players suspended or is it a portents of things to come? Time will surely tell for Michigan.
This week Michigan will put its vaunted defense to the test against a pesky Cincinnati Bearcat team. As long as Michigan doesn’t get complacent, they should head into their Oct 7 matchup with Michigan State undefeated at 4-0.
