Quarterbacks

It was definitely a hot and cold game for Trace McSorley.  When he was on, the Penn State’s offense could do no wrong.  The three interceptions were killer, especially the final one that set up USC’s game winning field goal.

McSorley finished the day with 254 yards on 18 completions out of 29 attempts.  His four touchdown passes were great, but his three interceptions were not.  I’m sure the kid is beating himself up over the last one where the Lions could have settled for overtime.

McSorley made some great plays and there were sequences where he and the offense looked unstoppable.  But ultimately it was his inconsistencies that led to USC taking the win.
