Michael Zordich

The final player in the top five is another safety, Michael Zordich.

Zordich actually was the “hero” back in coach Joe Paterno’s defensive secondary.  His best season came in his senior year of 1985.  That season he was credited with 60 tackles and an interception.  That interception occurred in the opening game vs Maryland where Zordich returned it 32 yards for a touchdown.

Zordich finished his career with 201 tackles and earned All-American honors in 1985.  Since 2003 he has been an assistant coach in high school and college.
