Michael Haynes

An absolute beast, Michael Haynes was a great defensive end for the Nittany Lions.

In 2002, Haynes led the Big Ten Conference with 15 sacks. That number remained the school record until Carl Nassib broke it in 2015.  He also led the conference in tackles for loss with 23 and had a school record seven forced fumbles.

Also in 2002, Haynes was named the Big Ten defensive player of the year and a finalist for the Ted Hendricks defensive end of the year award.  He was selected in the first round, fourteenth pick overall, in the 2003 NFL draft.

Haynes ranks third overall in career sacks and sixth overall in tackles for loss at Penn State.
