Defensive Line:
This unit missed Carl Nassib. He played sparingly early before leaving and not returning. It could be the same injury that forced him to leave the Northwestern game late.
Torrence Brown and Evan Schwan were decent in Nassib’s place. Brown had a huge hit and sack on Jake Rudock during the first half. Austin Johnson and Anthony Zettel played their usual quality games as well.
The line overall wasn’t too bad and held Michigan to 87 yards total rushing. However without Nassib, it was lacking a consistent pass rush. Rudock had time to throw and stayed upright for most of the day.
