Wide Receivers / Tight Ends:
Chris Godwin continues to play at a high level. He had eight catches for 104 yards, with a long reception of 26 yards. He’s locked in as the Nittany Lions number one receiver.
DaeSean Hamilton caught three balls for 56 yards and caught a touchdown pass. That pass was thrown by Geno Lewis and it was perhaps the best pass thrown all day. The trick play didn’t look pretty to start as the pitch from Brandon Polk to Lewis fell to the turf before Lewis picked it up and threw it 32 yards to Hamilton for the score.
It was another bad day for tight end Mike Gesicki in the way of drops and an ill-timed holding penalty. With as bad of a season he has had, Gesicki continues to be the number one tight end and I’m not sure why. Kyle Carter caught his one target for five yards, but I feel he should be getting the ball more.
