Penn State vs. Ohio State Position Grades

Linebackers:
Again, this grade will go along with the defensive line as the linebackers played a solid game but were given no favors by the offense or special teams.
Brandon Bell led the unit with six tackles and Troy Reeder had five tackles with one of them being for a loss. Jason Cabinda also added five tackles of his own. I was pleased with the linebacker play for the most part, but it’s unfortunate they couldn’t quite get to the quarterback on a few of the blitzes. It wasn’t for lack of effort though, more so the Buckeyes picking up the blitz.
This unit surely looked tired by the end of the game. Who wouldn’t be when you are chasing J.T Barrett, Ezekiel Elliot and Braxton Miller all night? The linebackers did the best they could and the grade is the same as the defensive line.
