Secondary:
When you hold two quarterbacks to a total of 155 yards passing, you’re doing something right. The Nittany Lion secondary did their job even though they weren’t tested that much through the air Saturday mainly because the front four was causing so many disruptions.
In his return to the field after injury, Marcus Allen tied for the team-high in tackles with nine, including 1.5 tackles for loss. Jordan Lucas had 7 tackles and a pass breakup. Cornerback Christian Campbell had five tackles and a pass breakup that he nearly picked. The lone turnover for the Lions went to cornerback John Reid.
The secondary complements the front seven quite well, but they will be tested next week against a dangerous Ohio State team.
