Linebackers:
A solid night for the linebackers. As the defensive line was getting the push, the linebackers were flying to the ball and stuffing the Rutgers rushers. They were also good in pass coverage.
Having Brandon Bell back from the injury he suffered against Temple definitely sparked the defensive effort overall. He picked up where he left off, contributing with nine tackles and four of them solo. Jason Cabinda and Troy Reeder combined for 14 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and a pass breakup by Cabinda.
Despite loosing Nyeem Wartman-White for the season, this unit hasn’t missed much of a step and is starting to shine. “Linebacker U” continues to develop great talent at the position.
