Wide Receivers / Tight Ends:

The receivers and tight ends didn’t have to do much Saturday night with the running game working so well.  However, when they did get the ball in their hands, we saw them flash their talent.

Only two wide receivers caught passes, with DaeSean Hamilton leading with 5 catches for 86 yards.  His 48 yard catch was mostly after he caught the ball and was very nice to watch.  Chris Godwin caught 4 for 49 yards.

The tight ends were targeted a few times, but Mike Gesicki only caught one pass for six yards.

The jet sweep, however, was working with the young speed again.  DeAndre Thompkins tallied the first score of his career when he took the hand off and ran it in the end zone from two yards out.

Overall, it was an okay performance by the receivers but they were getting open most of the night.  When they get in space, they can make some plays happen and hopefully they can get more opportunities down the line.
