What a difference two weeks makes. At the start of the season the Penn State Nittany Lions suffered an upset loss at the hands of the Temple Owls. However, head coach James Franklin and his team have strung together two striaght wins and seem to be heading in the right direction. Up next is another home date, this time the opponent comes from the West coast. The San Diego State Aztecs make their first trip to Beaver Stadium for a non-conference matchup on Saturday.
It’s the first meeting ever between the two schools.

The Nittany Lions looked strong in their last game, defeating Rutgers 28-3 in an effort that was dominating on both sides of the ball. Penn State used veteran Akeel Lynch and exciting true freshman Saquon Barkley to run all over the Knights, racking up over 300 yards on the ground.
San Diego State on the other hand is in the middle of a two-game losing streak after a bad home loss to South Alabama this past week. The Aztecs also have a blowout loss to California on their resume.
