This game should draw a crowd no matter what as teams outside the Big Ten from west of the Mississippi rarely visit Beaver Stadium. The Aztecs are up and coming program, making five consecutive bowl games after being dormant in the postseason for 10-years from 1999 to 2009.
Since head coach Rocky Long took over in 2011, the Aztecs have only been going up compiling a 25-14 record over his four seasons. As the third straight home game of five straight, the game presents one of the better and more appealing non-conference opponents that Penn State has played in recent memory.
This game should draw a good amount of votes however not being a primetime game (as of right now) or being a Big Ten conference game will hurt it’s chances. While it has a slim chance, it’s still a huge long shot.
