Penn State Recruiting – 2015 National Signing Day Open Thread
Well, after months of speculation, National Signing Day has finally arrived. Soon, Penn State will officially have its newest crop of recruits. Penn State has 25 commitments for this class, and three of those have already enrolled at the school. The remaining 22 recruits are all expected to send in their letters today.

11:02 AM EST- Signing Day was very successful for the Nittany Lions, but pretty uneventful. There were no surprises, which is a good thing. Now it’s time to start analyzing how well Coach Franklin and his staff did. Be sure to check back with VBR later today for more National Signing Day coverage.
10:40 AM EST- DT Robert Windsor from Wisconsin has signed his letter at his high school and will send it to James Franklin. That unofficially wraps up Penn State’s 2015 class, as all 25 recruits have either already sent in their letter or are in the process of doing so now.
10:37 AM EST- Penn State has just landed a big offensive weapon in TE Jonathan Holland from Maryland.
10:28 AM EST- More help for the defense. 4-Star LB Manny Bowen is a Nittany Lion!
10:22 AM EST- Altoona High School star Kevin Givens, a DE, has signed with Penn State. He just flipped from Pitt on Tuesday.
10:18 AM EST- James Franklin has done a great job with getting a lot of needed help in this class so far- especially on the O-Line.
10:13 AM EST- CB John Reid, though he Tweeted earlier that his letter was sent in, is now official according to Penn State.
10:04 AM EST- DB Ayron Monroe from Washington, DC has now signed with the Nittany Lions. He’ll add even more depth in the defensive backfield.
9:57 AM EST- Penn State’s 2015 class rounding into shape. While not everyone has been officially announced by the school, all commitments except for five have at least Tweeted that they’ve sent letters in.
9:46 AM EST- 3-star safety John Petrishen from Pittsburgh has officially singed with Penn State.
9:23 AM EST- DE Shareef Miller has singed with Penn State. Around the same time, former Penn State DL recruit Adam McLean sent his letter to Maryland.
9:15 AM EST- 4-Star wide receiver Juwan Johnson now official.
9:11 AM EST- LB Jake Cooper joins high school teammate Ryan Bates as an official member of Penn State’s 2015 recruiting class.
9:00 AM EST- Safety Jarvis Miller is the next to be officially announced by Penn State.
8:52 AM EST- Penn State has just officially announced the signing of Andre Robinson.
8:50 AM EST- Another lull in the action. I’d expect more letters to start coming in at 9.
8:32 AM EST- CB John Reid from Philadelphia has Tweeted that his letter has been sent.
8:21 AM EST- Penn State officially announces the signing of 4-Star WR Daiquan Kelly.
8:16- Offensive guard Steven Gonzalez just Tweeted that he is officially a Nittany Lion.
8:13 AM EST- According to Ryan Snyder of Rivals, RB Andre Robinson from Harrisburg has faxed in his letter to the Nittany Lions.
8:02 AM EST- Nothing new happening at the moment. Penn State just in the process of certifying the letters that have come in so far. Saquan Barkley already Tweeted that he sent his in, it just hasn’t been officially announced by the school yet.
7:53 AM EST- There’ s a bit of a break in the action right now. So far, no surprises for Penn State’s 2015 class.
7:45 AM EST- Former Pitt commit, TE Nick Bowers is next to sign today.
7:40 AM EST- Here’s who’s in so far- Polk, Bates, Charles, Carter, Buchholz, Taylor, Barkley
7:36 AM EST- Penn State Football confirmed that WR Irvin Charles was officially the first of the day to sign.
7:30- The offensive line just got better with the signing of tackle Ryan Bates.
7:28 AM EST- Four our now official, as Polk’s just came in.
7:24 AM EST- WR Brandon Polk just Tweeted that he’s sending his letter in soon.
7:19- DB Garrett Taylor is the next to officially sign. So far, it’s been all defense for the Nittany Lions.
7:16 AM EST- Ryan Snyder of BWI Tweets that Ryan Buchholz has faxed in his letter.
