Penn State vs. Boston College: Question #1

VBR: What is your prediction for how the Pinstripe Bowl will turn out?

JM: I see this being a low-scoring game with both defenses showing up in a big way.  If it comes down to which offense is able to break through for that slight edge in the game, I would have to take the Eagles and their potent run game over what has been an anemic Penn State offense all season.

It is definitely conceivable that Christian Hackenberg could have an alright day against the secondary, given that plenty of other quarterbacks have.  The thing with the Eagles is that they have sometimes sleepwalked through the “lesser” games this year and gotten up for the big games.  I think this counts as a big game and I’ll call a 21-17 Boston College win.  I just pray it does not come down to our horrendous kicking game, in which case Penn State will have to feel pretty good about the situation.
