Defensive Line

I can’t say enough about how good this defense as a whole has been.

The defensive line has been a huge part of that success. The unit only forced one sack of Temple quarterback PJ Walker, but he was running for his life throughout the game. Anthony Zettel came up with that one sack, but Austin Johnson was arguably the star of the front four. Johnson had four tackles, a tackle for loss and a fumble recovery while plugging up the gaps in the run game all day. Deion Barnes also recorded a tackle for loss and the whole unit was rotated throughout.

It was a good effort by the front four, but the rest of the defense really starred for Penn State. ‘
