Defensive Line

In what should come as a surprise to no one, Penn State’s defense was superb, yet again. They were able to limit the explosive Tevin Coleman to just 71 yards, well below his season average. It all starts up front for the D and they were solid, as usual. The defensive line was limited to just one sack on the day from Anthony Zettel, but the group forced Indiana quarterback Zander Diamont out of the pocket consistently. Along with Zettel, Tyrone Smith and Brad Bars were able to make tackles in the backfield. CJ Olaniyan and Austin Johnson were superb up front, each recording six tackles and stuffing the run all day long. Deion Barnes (3 tackles) didn’t do anything explosive, but was solid once again.
