Quarterbacks

Christian Hackenberg had an ugly day, resulting in an ugly day for the offense as a whole. After a hot start, Hack completed just two of 14 throws at one point, failing to gain a rhythm for more than a few plays at a time. He showed flashes, like on the first drive and a six-for-six performance on the drive ending with a Jesse James touchdown, but other that Hack struggled. Maybe more than he’s ever struggled before. Take his six-for-seven start and six-for-six drive away and Hack completed just six of his other 29 attempts. It just seemed like one of those days for the young quarterback as he managed to drop the ball once without contact and a second time after being run into by his own teammate.

Overall, not a good day for the gunslinger.
