Wide Receivers/Tight Ends

The Nittany Lions receivers experienced a few drops, but a few were forced by massive hits. DaeSean Hamilton continues to impress, grabbing 14 balls for 126 yards to earn him another B10 Freshman of the Week honor. Hamilton is very effective on quick hitters and screens and is starting to get open down the field more. Early season deep-threat Geno Lewis seems to have fallen out of favor, catching just one pass for 11 yards. Chris Godwin (16 yards) and Saeed Blacknall (34 yards, 1 TD) continue to see more playing time in Lewis’ place. Blacknall showed off his ability on his beautiful touchdown catch in the front corner of the end zone. Jesse James was okay in short passing situations, but I’d still like to see more use in the red zone. Kyle Carter and Mike Gesicki combined for just 7 yards.
