Quarterbacks

It was an average day for Christian Hackenberg, who threw for just 179 yards and zero touchdowns, but not much was asked nor needed of the stud quarterback. Having the game in hand early, Hack became more of a game manager, handing the ball off, throwing quick hitters and only taking an occasional look down field.

He made some nice throws and had a few of his passes dropped, so all-in-all there’s no need to nitpick at Hack’s performance.

D.J. Crook was a nice surprise for Penn State, looking sharp during his time and finding Brent Wilkerson for his first career touchdown.

The position wasn’t asked to do a whole lot as it wasn’t needed during the rout.
