Linebackers:
The Knights managed to run for 24 yards, a testament to the job the front seven did in this contest. Mike Hull looked very good at his new middle linebacker position, picking up 11 tackles and contributing mightily to the impressive run defense the Nittany Lions played.
Nyeem Wartman, who started at outside linebacker, played a solid game, snagging six tackles alongside Hull. With Hull and Wartman’s production and impressive performance, there wasn’t really much left for Brandon Bell, the other starting outside linebacker to do. He did pick up one tackle for loss.
This unit was strong and helped out in pass coverage as well. If Hull stays healthy, he could put up big numbers this year.
