Defensive Line:

All offseason, the talk of the Penn State coaching staff was how good the defensive line was. They sure proved it yesterday.

Anthony Zettel was outstanding, picking up six tackles, three tackles for loss and a sack, while consistently causing havoc in the backfield. he showed that the move inside to defensive tackle was an excellent decision by the coaching staff.

Deion Barnes showed a nice spark off the edge and seems to be rounding back into his 2012 form. C.J. Olaniyan registered a sack and Austin Johnson did a nice job anchoring and getting into the backfield.

The pressure wasn’t as strong in the second half, as the team allowed UCF quarterback  Justin Holman a little breathing room, but this was an all-around stellar performance by the defensive line and certainly a positive start to the 2014 season.
