Penn State Football: Game Grades for the Victory Over UCF

Quarterback :
Christian Hackenberg was sharp throughout the contest, completing 32 passes for 454 yards and a score.
His 454 yards were more than enough to set the Penn State single game passing mark, leaving former record holder Zack Mills’ 399 yards in the dust. Hackenberg constantly found open receivers, spread the ball around well and did a nice job of avoiding pressure from the defense. Most importantly, Hack really did a nice job of developing a rapport with DaeSean Hamilton, who showed that maybe life after Allen Robinson won’t be so bad.
The only thing stopping me from keeping Hack in the “A” range is a few bad decisions especially on his two interceptions, the sophomore quarterback found himself forcing a few throws that he probably wants to take back.
Grade – B+
